Grapevine, TX – September 18, 2009 – Acclaim Networks announced plans to sponsor a second certified regional training course for WatchGuard firewall administration, to be held in Dallas, November 3-5. The classes will be offered at the Las Colinas Executive Suites, 320 Decker Dr, Suite 100 in Irving, TX 75062.

“We had outstanding turnout and feedback from the first course we offered back in June. There was enough carry-over interest to go ahead and schedule a second session for November", said Acclaim Networks’ Technical Manager, Patrick Blankenship. “The course will again be an invaluable tool for teaching IT adminstrators how to configure and manage their WatchGuard firewalls, but this session will also cover updated features and functionalities now available via WatchGuard’s recently upgraded operating system, XTM Pro”, said Blankenship. The new XTM Pro provides upgrades like Active-Active High Availability, enhanced support for VoIP, HTTPS content inspection, NAT over BOVPN, enhanced reporting and more.

At the training, students will be provided everything they need: a firewall, laptop, student guides, and a custom Firewalling Basics addendum filled with tips, tricks, and other resources that will help you in your day to day job. Students are encouraged to bring in network maps of their systems, as well as a copy of their firewall config files. After class the instructor will spend one-on-one time with students reviewing their networks, as well as making recommendations how to lock down their firewall more effectively.
